Integrated alarm systems, designed, installed, monitored and maintained by trusted commercial security specialists. Backed by 25+ years of experience and chosen by some of Australia’s most recognised brands.

From single-site offices to multi-site operations across Australia and New Zealand, we design alarm and intrusion systems around the specific risks and operational needs of your industry.
Perimeter detection, after-hours intrusion protection, high-value stock zones

Hold-up / duress buttons, after-hours intrusion, stockroom and back-of-house
Harsh-environment detectors, hazardous zone monitoring, plant protection
Drug storage, restricted areas, staff duress and panic systems
Common area protection, basement and car park monitoring
Most businesses don’t think about their alarm system until something goes wrong, the panel fails, or the monitoring company stops responding. Here are the most common reasons our commercial clients invest in a new or upgraded system.
Break-ins typically happen outside business hours. A properly designed alarm system detects, deters, and triggers an immediate response while you're not on site.
Older panels rely on phone lines or 3G networks. With the 3G shutdown now complete in Australia, many existing systems no longer communicate reliably with monitoring centres.
Some monitoring providers take minutes to respond, or rely on a single communications path that can be cut. Modern grade A1 monitoring with dual-path comms changes that.
Hold-up buttons, panic alarms, and lone worker protection are increasingly expected, especially in retail, healthcare and hospitality.
Old detectors and poorly zoned systems generate false alarms that waste time and erode trust. Modern detectors and proper zoning eliminate most of them.
Many commercial insurance policies now require AS/NZS-compliant alarm systems with back-to-base monitoring. We design and certify to those standards.
We design every system from scratch around the specific layout, risk profile, and operational needs of your business. Our equipment is sourced from the most trusted commercial brands in the industry, and configured to meet Australian Standards for commercial intrusion detection.

OUR 5-STEP COMMERCIAL SECURITY PROCESS
No two commercial sites are alike. Our process is built around understanding your operations, designing a system that fits, and delivering it with minimal disruption to your business. From your first call through to ongoing support, here’s exactly how it works.

Call us on 1300 73 83 93 or submit an online enquiry. We respond within one business day to discuss your site, your security concerns, and the outcomes you need.
For most projects, this short conversation is enough to confirm scope and book the next step.
Timeframe: Response within 1 business day
A licensed security specialist reviews your site, identifies vulnerabilities, considers any existing infrastructure, and confirms exactly what’s required. Most assessments are conducted on-site so we can walk the premises with you and plan around the realities of your space, including cabling routes, after-hours access, and integration with existing systems. Where appropriate, particularly for standard product installs or sites outside Melbourne, we can also complete this stage remotely.
For alarm systems, we assess entry and exit points, motion sensor coverage zones, glass break and vibration risk areas, hold-up or duress button placement, and the best location for your control panel and keypads.
Timeframe: Booked within 3 to 5 business days of your enquiry
We design the system around your site, your operations, and your budget. You receive a written proposal showing equipment specifications, placement, integration points, project timeline, and a fixed price. Because commercial systems are rarely off-the-shelf, we take the time to get the design right, no surprise costs after the fact.
For alarm systems, your proposal specifies zone configuration, sensor types and placement, control panel specification, dual-path communications (IP with 4G failover), and connection to our 24/7 grade A1 monitoring centre if required.
Timeframe: Tailored to project complexity. We’ll confirm a clear delivery date during your site assessment.
Our licensed technicians install the system at a time that suits your operations, including after-hours or weekend installs where required to avoid disrupting your business. On completion, we hand over as-built documentation, user credentials, and training for nominated staff, so your team can use the system confidently from day one.
For alarm installs, this includes sensor mounting, panel and keypad commissioning, connection to monitoring, user code setup for your staff, and testing every zone before handover.
Timeframe: Scheduled at your earliest convenience after quote approval
A security system is only as reliable as its maintenance. We keep full records of your installed equipment, offer lifetime phone support, and provide optional maintenance programs to keep your system performing to Australian Standards.
When a technician is required on site, you’ll have someone already familiar with your exact setup.
Timeframe: Lifetime phone support, with optional 24/7 monitoring available.

The service fella arrived on time, introduced himself and his apprentice, then got on with the job. Serviced our system, cleaned the smoke alarm and all was good. As we signed yo to a 60 month agreement, there was no charge for the service call and there wont be for the next 5 years. We have always been very happy with the service and if there was a reason for the to think there was a problem at our house, they were always quickly on the ball
Most commercial alarm installs are completed within 1 to 2 days, depending on site size, the number of sensors and zones, and any integration with existing systems. Larger or multi-site projects are scheduled in stages to avoid disrupting your operations. We’ll confirm the exact timeline in your quote.
Yes. Many older commercial alarm panels relied on 3G to communicate with monitoring centres, and that network has now been switched off across Australia. We can either upgrade your existing panel’s communicator to 4G with IP failover, or recommend a full replacement if the panel itself is end-of-life. We’ll confirm the most cost-effective path during the site assessment.
Back-to-base monitoring means your alarm signals are sent in real time to a dedicated monitoring centre, who verify the activation and dispatch police or a guard response. For most commercial sites, monitoring is the difference between an alarm that scares an intruder briefly and an alarm that gets someone on site fast. Many insurance policies also require it.
Our Grade A1 monitoring centre operates 24/7 with dual-path communications, meaning signals are received within seconds. Operators follow your specific response plan, whether that’s calling you, dispatching a guard, or contacting police, depending on the type of alarm received.
For many of the systems we install, yes. Remote arming, disarming and event log access via a smartphone app is available on supported platforms. Because the right platform depends on your site, budget and existing infrastructure, we’ll recommend the best option during your site assessment and confirm exactly which app and features are available with your system.
Yes, and we’d recommend it. Integrated systems mean an alarm activation can automatically trigger camera recording, lock specific doors, or alert specific staff. We work with all major commercial platforms and will confirm integration capability during your site assessment.
Most false alarms come from old or poorly configured systems: pet-immune detectors in the wrong zones, sensors aimed at moving HVAC vents, or weak signal paths. We design with modern dual-tech detectors, proper zoning, and clear staff training, which typically reduces false activations to almost zero.
Signal Security supports commercial clients across Australia and New Zealand, from single-site businesses to multi-site enterprise operations. Whether you’re a single location or operating across multiple states or both sides of the Tasman, get in touch and we’ll discuss how we can support your sites.
The two ongoing costs to be aware of are monitoring (if you choose to use it) and optional maintenance. We’ll outline both in your quote so there are no surprises. There are no hidden subscriptions or mandatory contracts.
